The Kellys began singing in 1959 as a family of two brothers, Jim and Sonny, and their wives, Ruth and Minnie Paul.  Jim and Sonny's mom, Ethel, played the piano. She was the pianist at her church for over 75 years.

Sonny and Ruth's son, Gary, played the bass, then Jon came along and played the drums.  Jim and Minnie Paul had a daughter, Tammy, who played the tambourine and the piano when Ethel retired.

The Kellys got their touring start by singing at home around the area until a gentleman from Franklin, TN invited them to sing at his church.  They booked seven singings at other churches from that one evening alone and the rest is history!

There have been over 65 members to come and go over the years.  An all male quartet for the past 21 years, the group currently travels to between 80 and 100 bookings a year.
